Dan Shell was announced as the IMG College General Manager of the West Coast Conference (WCC) property in September of 2008. In this role, Shell manages the day-to-day operations of the property, focusing on sponsorship sales, radio, television, naming rights, promotions, and hospitality.

IMG College announced a four-year agreement with the WCC to exclusively manage the WCC's multimedia rights and corporate sponsorship packages through 2012

Shell, a graduate of the University of California, is no stranger to the West Coast Conference. He served as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Saint Mary's from 2001-08 and was the Men's Basketball Administrative Assistant at Pepperdine from 1998-99. At Saint Mary's, Shell's responsibilities included player development, game scheduling, student-athlete academic oversight and negotiating the program's largest regional television contract ever.

Shell also served as Director of Men's Basketball Operations at perennial college powers Oklahoma and Stanford. Shell was director of summer camps for both programs, and also gained experience with video exchange, event planning and booster club relations.
