Kris Kassel

Kris Kassel serves as General Manager for IMG College at Gonzaga University, coming to the Spokane campus at the launch of IMG College's new 10-year partnership during the summer of 2008. In his role, he guides all day-to-day operations for IMG College, including management of the corporate sponsor relationships, revenue growth strategy & national benchmarking to ensure the long-term, stable revenue growth of Gonzaga's sponsorship and broadcast assets.

Prior to Gonzaga, Kris was General Sales Manager for the University of Arizona's IMG College team. In that role, Kris guided the sales efforts of the 12-person full-time staff in the growth of UA's Athletics Corporate Partnership program.

Kris joined Arizona from his post as Associate General Manager for the Baylor-ISP Sports Network at the University in Waco, Texas. While at Baylor, Kris helped lead a staff that doubled corporate sponsorship revenue for the athletics program in the first 18 months on the job.

Prior to Baylor, Kris served for three years as Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs at the University of Evansville. As a member of the senior staff, Kris spearheaded development efforts for the Division-I athletics program that resulted in a 60% growth in annual donors accompanied by a 20% growth in revenue from 2002-2004. Along with annual development efforts, Kris oversaw enhancements to a number of special events and community outreach programs that resulted in a strengthened financial footing for the entire athletics program.

A seasoned sports marketing executive, Kris previously served on the staffs of Crimson Tide Sports Marketing at the University of Alabama and Tiger Sports Properties at the University of Memphis. Kris began his career with the Memphis Redbirds of the AAA Pacific Coast Baseball League as Assistant Promotions Director before moving into the college sphere as Marketing and Advertising Director for Inside Indiana Magazine, a publication devoted to covering athletics at Indiana University.

Since receiving his Bachelors degree from Indiana, Kris has earned a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a graduate of the prestigious Sports Management Institute Executive Program, a graduate level professional development program jointly sponsored by Notre Dame University and the Universities of South Carolina, Texas, Southern California, North Carolina and Michigan.
